The journey to the restaurant

So there I was in the Peruvian jungle, sitting on a wooden table next to a thatched-roof hut. A warm breeze blew through the village, carrying with it the sweet scent of plantain. A few meters away, the Amazon river flowed, its waters brown from sediment, just perfect!

The conclusion

You should try Amazona restaurant if you are looking for a unique fine dining experience in the Peruvian jungle.

The restaurant is unique in so many ways: it is located inside an exclusive luxury jungle hut; it has a very small and exclusive seating capacity of 20 guests; the food is highly creative and inspired by the rich biodiversity of the Peruvian jungle; and finally, you get to enjoy the meal in complete solitude with no other guests or tourists around providing a very private and intimate experience.

The price may seem very high if compared to normal local prices, but considering all that is done to accommodate you in this remote location, I believe it is reasonably priced. Furthermore, once you have experienced Amazona, you will want to come back and try their menu again as the chef regularly prepares new dishes.
